At the heart of ICA, our behavior consultants work diligently to provide comprehensive, collaborative, and sustainable support to school personnel through individualized behavior consultation. With a strong commitment to ethical service delivery, we pride ourselves on utilizing only evidence-based practices grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to ensure meaningful, measurable outcomes for students and staff alike.

All ICA consultants hold a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field, ensuring a high level of expertise and professionalism in every engagement.

  • Classroom observations and environmental assessments to improve classroom management strategies

  • Development and implementation of tiered systems of support (PBIS, MTSS)

  • Support with developing and refining school- or district-wide policies related to behavior management, inclusion, and student engagement

3. Individualized Student Support

  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) that are practical, strengths-based, and aligned with student needs

  • Collaboration with IEP teams to ensure legal compliance and educational benefit

  • Ongoing progress monitoring using data-based decision-making frameworks

4. Program Development & Innovation

  • Creation and implementation of novel or specialized programs, including self-contained classrooms, transition services, or inclusive education models

  • Consultation on program design for students with emotional/behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other special needs

5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Coordination with school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other service providers to ensure consistency across interventions

  • Family engagement strategies to promote generalization of skills beyond the school setting

Our Model: Sustainable, Evidence-Based, Collaborative

ICA consultants emphasize partnership and sustainability. From the initial intake through to implementation and follow-up, our consultants work side-by-side with school teams to co-create solutions. Our primary goal is to teach and empower school personnel to become proficient in delivering highly effective behavioral support services.

All consultation services are:

  • Data-driven: Grounded in continuous data collection, analysis, and refinement

  • Individualized: Customized to the unique needs of each school site and student

  • Collaborative: Built around consistent communication with district stakeholders

  • Fading-focused: Structured to gradually reduce consultant involvement as district capacity grows

Fading for Long-Term Success

True capacity building means knowing when to step back. As school personnel develop confidence and competence, ICA strategically fades consultation services, ensuring a seamless transition of responsibility to district staff. This supports long-term sustainability and cost-effective outcomes, while reinforcing school ownership of intervention success.
